JA DME Change
Implementation of the Award for Jurisdiction A Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) Workload
On December 16, 2015 CMS awarded Noridian Healthcare Solutions, LLC a new contract for the administration of Medicare Fee-for-Service claims for DMEPOS in Jurisdiction A which is currently serviced by NHIC.
The transition from NHIC to Noridian is set to be completed by July 1, 2016. Until the transition is complete, all claims and inquiries will still be handled by NHIC. There will be no changes to electronic Submitter IDs for electronic billing, however on July 1, 2016 a new Receiver ID and Payer ID will need to be used for electronic claims. All claims WILL STILL BE SUBMITTED TO CEDI using your current Submitter IDs.

On September 3, 2015 CMS awarded CGS a new contract for the administration of Medicare Fee-for-Service claims for DMEPOS in Jurisdiction B which is currently serviced by National Government Services (NGS).
The transition from NGS to CGS is set to be completed by July 1, 2016. Until the transition is complete, all claims and inquiries will still be handled by NGS. There will be no changes to electronic Submitter IDs for electronic billing, however on July 1, 2016 a new Receiver ID and Payer ID will need to be used for electronic claims. All claims WILL STILL BE SUBMITTED TO CEDI using your current Submitter IDs.
